The first locator of Filinvest Innovation Park in New Clark City (FIP-NCC), STB GIGA Factory Inc. (STB), recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Philippine Business Forum at the ASEAN-Australia Summit in Melbourne last March 4, 2024.
Filinvest Development Corporation Vice Chairperson Josephine Gotianun-Yap joined the delegation at the Philippine Business Forum with Trevor St Baker, founder and Deputy Chairman of St. Battalion, and BCDA PCEO Joshua Bingcang. President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr., together with other top Philippine Government Officials, graced the event, as seen in the photo above.
FIP-NCC was acknowledged during the event as the venue of the expansion plans of STB GIGA on manufacturing EV batteries in the Philippines by 2030, where they will also be availing four more RBFs and employ an estimated number of 500 workers.
Last July 2023, St. Battalion signed a lease contract with Filinvest Land Inc., becoming the first locator of FIP-NCC, and announced their initial investment of $10 million.
On February 28, 2024, FIP-NCC officially turned over two ready-built factories (RBF) to STB. The recent turnover of two Ready-Built-Factory to STB GIGA affirms how Filinvest in New Clark City and the Filinvest Innovation Park attract international investors seeking to capitalize on the region’s burgeoning economy and strategic location.
